A Touch of Red

Hello! I have a card to share with you today for the latest A Day For Daisies Challenge. I love, love, love this company's images, and I do not get to play along with their challenges nearly enough. But when I saw that the challenge was "A Touch of Red," I just had to. I love using red on my projects.

This sweet image was a freebie, and I think she's adorable. I tried working out of my comfort zone a bit. I made her a blonde...which is something I hardly ever do. And I used a lot of white. I kept the palette so limited. Totally a stretch for me, but I like it!

I was inspired by my darling friend Jenn Borjeson to do all the white. Her card for this challenge is adorable. I really, really wanted to add some blue to the background...but I decided it would lose something if I did.
I am sorry about that ugly foam dot holding my bow on to the card. I really should have removed it (it came with it attached) and used a clear dot. It's totally making me crazy seeing it in this photo. Does that type of thing happen to you? You make a project, photograph it, and then realize you've done something wrong? I hope it's not just me! Thanks for checking out my project. Have an inspiring day!

YES - I definitely do that, too! But the funny thing is, I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out. We are always our own worst critic, aren't we? Love you!!!!

It may have been a stretch for you, but you made it look easy. Like the kraft background and the white snowflake border it really makes your touch of red image pop

Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga
